BROWN PIGMENTATION/AGE SPOTS
Skin develops brown or black pigmentations called solar lentigines, more commonly known as age spots when sun exposure occurs. They look like tan to dark circular clusters on the skin. The color is caused by how much sun is exposed to the skin. The spots are usually 1 mm to 5mm in diameter and the size increases when more melatonin is collected around the skin. Age/brown spots cause the skin to look blotchy, freckled or uneven which is associated with age.
It does not harm the skin to remove the spots and we offer these treatments to reduce their appearance:
